This new Knowledge Lawyer role sits within the Corporate team as part of the wider Corporate & Commercial department, and will underpin the day to day work of fee earners at all levels., The firm’s Corporate team are one of the busiest and most successful departments in the firm, and are seeking to recruit a Knowledge Lawyer/Professional Support Lawyer to work with them in a non-fee earning capacity. There is plenty of flexibility on offer, with the role being based from either the Bristol or Exeter office with hybrid working, and on full time or part time basis.
The experienced team of Corporate Lawyers are solutions-focussed and will work proactively with you to scope their needs and timescales. In this non-fee earning role, you will be working as part of the firm’s well established Knowledge Management team. On a day-to-day basis, you will provide support to the Corporate & Commercial services division, with your main responsibility being to ensure fee earners are informed of new laws and developments, whilst assisting with preparing internal and external briefing notes, undertaking legal research and creating and updating templates.
Alongside this, working closely with our internal Learning and Development team, you will provide and organise technical training, including preparing seminars and sessions for both internal and external clients.
As a qualified and experienced Corporate Lawyer from either a city or regional law firm, you will readily understand and relate to internal and external clients’ needs, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent client care. With good project management skills, you have shown your ability to cope with pressures arising from handling multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines. Highly organised and with an eye for detail, you will be able to develop and implement effective systems to organise your work and meet users’ needs, whilst having a flexible and adaptable attitude to your work.
Having worked in a successful corporate department, you will be known for being a positive, proactive and motivated team player, keen to contribute and work collaboratively across all levels of the firm. With strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills, you are experienced in forging effective working relationships with colleagues and clients, and quickly gain an understanding of their needs and perspectives.
As a Knowledge Lawyer/PSL, you will be a vital resource for the Corporate & Commercial Division, and enjoy a varied and interesting workload which will fully utilise the skills and knowledge you have gained to date.
