The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal (or CILEX qualified individual) to join the specialist marine insurance claims team. The role will focus on supporting litigation and casualty work involving personal injury matters across the marine industry. Based in Bristol, the role sits within a team recognised for handling complex, high-value, cross-border disputes.
Key Responsibilities of a Personal Injury Paralegal :
- Manage a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated defendant personal injury claims (PL/EL) across various tracks
- Draft key legal documents such as defences, statements, instructions to counsel, and court applications
- Support accident investigations and travel across the UK at short notice when needed
- Liaise confidently with clients, insurers, witnesses, and other stakeholders
Requirements of the Personal Injury Paralegal include:
- Prior experience handling defendant personal injury claims on behalf of insurers or similar parties
- Familiarity with the Claims Portal and CPR compliance
- Ability to undertake legal research and prepare well-structured case summaries
- Willingness to attend court hearings, case conferences, and manage CRU certificates were required
