Independent Financial Advisor in Taunton

£70,000 - £80,000 + OTE up to £130,000 | On-site | Taunton

Cathedral Appointments is recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent financial planning firm for an experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join its team in Taunton. The firm provides whole-of-market advice to private clients and is looking for an adviser to look after an existing client bank while building new relationships.

The Role

You will help clients plan for retirement, protect their families and grow their wealth, supported by an experienced paraplanning and administration team. The role suits a qualified adviser who puts long-term client relationships first and wants the earning potential that comes with growing a quality client base.

Responsibilities for the Independent Financial Adviser:

• Provide independent, whole-of-market advice on pensions, retirement planning, investments, protection and estate planning




• Manage and develop an existing client bank through regular reviews




• Generate new business through referrals, professional introducers and your own network




• Assess each client's objectives, attitude to risk and capacity for loss, and recommend suitable solutions




• Work with paraplanners to produce clear, compliant suitability reports




• Deliver good client outcomes in line with FCA requirements, including Consumer Duty

Requirements for the Independent Financial Adviser include:

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent) and a current Statement of Professional Standing




• Proven experience as a financial adviser, ideally in an independent firm




• A clean regulatory record




• Strong knowledge of pensions, investments and protection products




• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics simplyi
  
• Chartered status or Level 6 qualifications would be an advantage
