As part of its continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function and support the organisation through its next phase of development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to lead the day-to-day finance operations of a growing business. As a Financial Controller, you will be reporting directly to the senior leadership team, responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, delivering accurate management reporting, overseeing payroll and compliance activities, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and ambitious organisation.
Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, alongside insightful variance analysis.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate reconciliations, revenue recognition, accruals and prepayments.
- Oversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage year-end audit processes, statutory reporting, VAT returns and continuous improvement of financial systems and controls.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with several years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience managing month-end processes, balance-sheet integrity and statutory accounts preparation.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition, deferred revenue and recurring revenue business models.
- Excellent analytical, communication and Excel skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Competitive salary of circa £60,000 – £70,000.
