Known for their non-hierarchical and collaborative culture, this growing firm has an impressive client list with sector focussed specialists and expert teams across a number of UK locations.
About the role
Based from central Bristol with a blend of home and office working available, you will be working with a team of experienced Corporate lawyers across different offices, on a variety of matters including investment rounds, growth strategies, group restructurings and exits. You will be working with clients who are typically owner managed or family businesses, and you will look to establish strong and effective lasting relationships from the outset as you learn about their priorities, interests and business concerns. You will seek to gain a deep understanding about what your clients want to achieve to support them in order to build long lasting and rewarding relationships. Working with small to medium sized businesses and entrepreneurs, you will be developing and applying your commercial understanding of clients' contexts through relevant insights and shared expertise to enable you to offer practical advice at the right time, on an ongoing basis. You'll be enthusiastic about business development and appreciate the importance of networking as part of your wider long-term work winning strategy. The firm’s business development team is expertly positioned to support you to do this, sharing advice and ideas which will enable you to extend your profile in the region from the start.
About You
You may be an Associate looking for the next step in your career, or a Senior Associate seeking to work with larger and more complex clients. With a passion for working directly with owner managed businesses, you will be keen to develop your skills with clients, seeking to understand the commercial context of their business and to gain confidence to provide the right advice at the right moment. You'll be self-motivated, client and market focussed, with a desire to actively contribute towards the continued success of a team with a strong track record of recently delivered growth. You will have the opportunity to support less experienced members of the team in your work, delegating and supervising tasks to ensure that work is done at the right level whilst allowing you to focus on more complex matters.
