Role Overview
We are seeking a confident and proactive Credit Controller to join on a temporary basis to support with clearing a backlog of outstanding debt. This is a hands-on role requiring someone comfortable making outbound calls and taking ownership of accounts, helping the business improve cash collection efficiently.
Responsibilities of the Credit Controller:
- Proactively chase outstanding invoices via telephone as the primary contact method
- Follow up with emails, copy invoices and statements as required
- Investigate reasons for non-payment and resolve straightforward queries
- Maintain accurate records of communications and support reduction of aged debt
Requirements of the Credit Controller:
- Previous experience in a credit control or similar finance role
- Confident communicator, comfortable handling payment discussions over the phone
- Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage workload independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
