£15 PER HOUR | OFFICE BASED | PART-TIME FLEXIBLE HOURS | EXETER

A well-established manufacturing business based in Exeter is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their friendly onsite team. They supply high-quality products across the UK and pride themselves on excellent service, craftsmanship, and a supportive working environment.

Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional seeking a flexible, part-time, permanent role. Working 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday), the Accounts Assistant will manage the day-to-day finance function at site level, ensuring financial information is processed accurately and efficiently, while working closely with the central accounts team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers, credit control, and payment processes
  • Reconcile supplier statements, maintain the cash book, and process invoices and credit notes
  • Support VAT return preparation and payment runs where applicable
  • Act as a key link between the site and the head office accounts team, providing financial support and updates

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts assistant role
  • Proficiency with Sage 200 accounting software (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of ledger processes, reconciliations, and credit control
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to work independently with excellent communication skills
