Role Overview:
This is a senior level opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator to play a pivotal role in the successful bidding of major marine and infrastructure schemes. Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead the estimating process from early concept through to final submission, ensuring tenders are commercially robust, competitive, and delivery focused. The role offers high visibility within the business and the opportunity to influence both pricing strategy and future project success.
Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for high value marine and heavy civil engineering projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to assess scope, risk, and resourcing requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and operational teams to align bids with delivery methodology
- Manage supplier and subcontractor engagement to secure competitive, compliant quotations
Requirements of the Senior Estimator:
- Proven experience in a Senior Estimator role within marine, civil engineering, or heavy infrastructure environments
- Strong understanding of marine construction methods, associated risks, and environmental constraints
- Sound commercial and contractual awareness, with NEC experience highly advantageous
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and stakeholder communication skills
