Recruitment Manager specialising in Senior Finance recruitment across the South West. Our client is a well-established professional services firm delivering high-quality financial planning support to a diverse client base. The Role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a busy and growing financial planning department. In this role, you will provide high-quality research, analysis, and report writing to support Financial Consultants and ensure an exceptional client experience. You will also play a key part in supporting, guiding, and developing more junior team members, contributing to a knowledgeable and cohesive paraplanning function.

Responsibilities of the Paraplanner:

  • Research, prepare, and produce detailed financial planning reports across investments, pensions, trusts, and later-life planning.
  • Conduct cashflow modelling and technical analysis to support client recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records and progress client cases using the firm’s back-office systems.
  • Liaise with clients and providers, ensuring work is completed within agreed timeframes.

Requirements of the Paraplanner:

  • DipPFS (or equivalent) and ideally 2–3 years of experience in a similar paraplanning role.
  • Strong knowledge of investments, pensions, IHT planning, and investment propositions.
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to teamwork.
  • Competent IT skills, including familiarity with financial planning research tools and cashflow software.
