About the Firm
Our client is a highly regarded UK Top 50 national law firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional legal services across a wide range of sectors and specialisms. With a collaborative culture, deep-rooted national and regional client relationships, and an ambitious growth strategy, the firm is now seeking to appoint a senior-level Real Estate Lawyer to support the expansion of the Exeter office.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished and well connected Real Estate lawyer to take on a senior leadership role within the firm’s thriving Commercial Property team. With your networks and South West regional profile (and potentially a following), you will play a pivotal role in growing the team in Exeter, working collaboratively building upon an established client base while also contributing to the firm’s long-term growth plans.
You can expect to:
- Lead on a wide variety of high-value and complex Real Estate transactions.
- Provide strategic advice to clients, including developers, investors, landowners, corporate occupiers, and lenders.
- Build and develop strong client relationships, with an emphasis on business development and networking.
- Mentor, supervise, and develop junior lawyers within the team.
- Contribute to the firm’s leadership and growth strategy as a senior member of the partnership.
About You
As a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales, you will have significant post-qualification experience in Real Estate law with a proven track record of advising on complex and high-value property matters. This is likely to include experience across commercial development, investment, and/or strategic land. You will be a collaborative and proactive lawyer who is keen to connect and build relationships with internal peers and colleagues across the firm.
Ideally, you will have an established client following, demonstrable referrer network and/or strong business development capability, with a visible profile in the South West.
With a focus on growing the Real Estate team in Exeter over time, you will have gained supervision and leadership skills in your current role, and possess the ability and positive attitude to mentor and support less experienced colleagues and contribute to their ongoing professional development.
Aspiring to partnership if not already at that level, you are ambitious, commercially astute, and aligned with the firm’s values of inclusivity, collaboration, pragmatism and excellence. The firm prides itself on its approachable style, with one another and with clients, which builds such strong and long-lasting bonds.
This is a genuinely exciting and unusual opportunity to join a leading firm in a senior capacity, and to actively engage and support the wider strategic direction of the firm.
In summary, this opportunity offers:
- A senior leadership role within a respected and growing firm.
- Competitive remuneration package and benefits.
- Genuine partnership opportunity (or immediate entry depending on experience).
- A supportive and forward-thinking environment where your contribution will shape the future of the firm’s Real Estate practice.
