The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QHSE Manager to take ownership of Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental frameworks across two sites. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role will lead legal compliance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure all training, auditing, and accreditation processes meet the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities for the QHSE Manager include:
- Lead and develop the QHSE strategy, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, ISO standards, and company policies.
- Oversee audits, inspections, risk assessments, and contractor management to maintain accreditations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Hygiene practices.
- Manage customer complaints and produce action plans to ensure swift resolution and ongoing service excellence.
Role Requirements for the QHSE Manager:
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH essential, NEBOSH desirable) and proven experience in QHSE management.
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety law and ISO accreditation processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proven track record in a fast-paced manufacturing or operational environment, delivering measurable improvements.
