£500 - £550 per day | Outside IR35 | 10-12 Month Contract | Onsite | Oxford

Company Overview: Our client is a highly respected organisation operating within a regulated, innovation-led environment. With a strong focus on research, development, and operational excellence, they are undertaking a significant transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Project Deputy to support the successful delivery of key technology and engineering initiatives.

Role Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a senior project professional to play a pivotal role within a major transformation programme. Working closely with the Project Lead, you will support the delivery of technology, operational, and engineering projects across a complex R&D environment. You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Mon-Fri (core hours, with spill either side of that due to nature of role)

Responsibilities of the Project Deputy:

  • Lead the planning, governance, and delivery of complex technology and operational projects.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify, evaluate, and implement business solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, risks, budgets, and communications to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Support engineering and operational improvement initiatives, driving continuous improvement and change management activities.

Requirements of the Project Deputy:

  • Significant project management experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, engineering, or similarly regulated sectors.
  • Proven track record of delivering technology implementation, transformation, or R&D projects in complex environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, business process analysis, and requirements gathering capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
