Role Overview

We are looking for an ambitious

Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (FP&A Analyst) to join a dynamic finance function on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, providing meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Alongside core FP&A responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to finance transformation, improving reporting processes, developing planning systems and helping the business move towards a more automated and forward-looking finance environment.

Responsibilities of the Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, including rolling forecasts and scenario modelling.
  • Produce monthly performance reporting and variance analysis across revenue, gross margin, operational costs and overheads.
  • Develop FP&A reporting tools, dashboards and planning systems, supporting greater automation and standardisation of financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial analysis and reporting for senior leadership while contributing to wider finance transformation, systems and data-quality initiatives.

Requirements of the Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant with

ACA, ACCA or CIMA , ideally with previous FP&A or financial analysis experience.

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with advanced Microsoft Excel capability and confidence interpreting complex financial data.
  • Proactive and inquisitive approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
  • Experience with FP&A or planning systems, Power BI, Power Query, ERP systems or data-driven reporting would be advantageous.
  • Competitive salary of

£45,000 - £50,000 .

  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Monday to Friday working pattern.
  • Early finish at

12:30pm every Friday .

Working hours

07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 - 12:30 Friday.
