The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced People Advisor to join a dynamic and collaborative People team. This is a broad and hands-on generalist role where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical support across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations and engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising roles, managing applications, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new starters.
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, ensuring policies and employment law are followed.
- Support with employee relations matters such as absence management, low-level disciplinary and grievance cases, and performance issues.
- Contribute to wider People projects, engagement initiatives, and general HR administration to support effective people operations.
Requirements
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) and proven experience in a People/HR Advisor or similar generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law, with hands-on experience in recruitment and employee relations.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- A proactive, approachable, and resilient team player who can build trusted relationships and handle sensitive matters with confidence.
- Competitive salary of £35,000 – £38,000 per annum
