A fast-growing logistics company based near Glasgow is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their internal IT function at an exciting time of transformation and investment in technology. This is a fully on-site position where you will play a key role in shaping, supporting, and improving the systems that underpin a large and operationally critical business.
You will be joining a close-knit and technically strong infrastructure team, working across a varied mix of business-as-usual support and project work. This is a hands-on role with real impact - you will be trusted with core systems, exposed to a broad technology stack, and involved in ongoing upgrades and modernisation initiatives as the organisation continues to scale. If you enjoy being close to the technology, solving complex problems, and seeing the direct results of your work across a business, this role will suit you well.
Responsibilities
- Providing 3rd line infrastructure support across the business while taking ownership of the day-to-day health of the company's IT environment.
- Maintaining and improving on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues raised by internal users and external partners.
- Playing an active role in delivering infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Monitoring system performance, availability, and security.
- Working closely with other members of the IT team and key stakeholders to ensure systems remain reliable, secure, and fit for future growth.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an Infrastructure/3rd Line Support role.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of ICT technologies.
- Cisco networking hardware (Routers, Switches, etc.).
- Server administration.
- Office 365/Microsoft 365 troubleshooting and support.
- Linux (beneficial, but not essential).
Salary and Benefits
This role offers a salary between Β£40-55k (DOE) and the opportunity to work in a varied technical environment with long-term career progression.
Location and Requirements
This role is fully onsite so the organisation is only considering candidates that are local and have access to their own vehicle.
