The purpose of the position is to support the growth of Cathay Cargo brand and customer reach through implementation and execution of integrated branding, marketing and communications plans in Southeast Asia and Oceania. The position holder is the primary marketing lead for Cathay Cargo in the region, responsible for planning and executing integrated communications strategies that strengthen Cathay Cargo’s market positioning, accelerate growth, support commercial priorities and engagement with key trade stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaigns & Communications
- Strengthen Cathay Cargo’s market positioning through brand, product, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Plan and deliver integrated B2B marketing campaigns across multiple channels to support cargo revenue and product awareness.
- Adapt global campaigns into regionally and locally relevant initiatives reflecting competitive market dynamics.
- Oversee development of cargo marketing collateral, sales enablement tools, and customer communications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner closely with regional and local teams to align marketing initiatives with business priorities.
- Support internal communications to keep stakeholders informed of marketing initiatives and outcomes.
- Collaborate with agency partners to deliver marketing initiatives effectively.
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to develop marketing collateral and merchandise.
- Manage external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Trade Engagement & Sales Enablement
- Lead regional trade engagement programmes to strengthen relationships with freight forwarders, shippers, and key cargo stakeholders.
- Develop trade marketing collateral and sales enablement tools to support regional and local sales teams.
- Events, Exhibitions & Thought Leadership
- Lead marketing planning and execution for cargo events, tradeshows, customer forums, and industry events.
- Identify and secure speaking opportunities for Cathay Cargo leaders.
- Support development of thought leadership content.
- Insights Gathering & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Track campaign and trade engagement performance, delivering post-campaign reports with insights and recommendations.
- Agency Management
- Partner with local agencies to deliver campaign concepts through execution, including performance analysis and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all marketing materials comply with Brand Guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
- Emergency, Accident & Crisis Response
- Provide support for emergency, accident, and crisis response activities as required.
- General
- Provide full-spectrum marketing support, manage ad-hoc projects, and undertake other reasonable tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
- Strong communications planning capability across paid, owned, and earned channels, with a solid understanding of B2B communications.
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of revenue drivers and cost management.
- Proven experience managing agency partners and delivering performance-driven outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, creative, and innovative mindset.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-market environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and timeliness.
