The Warehouse Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for both customers and operations teams. You will manage and oversee all aspects of the operation, prioritising tasks to ensure smooth workflows. This role involves coordinating shipments, monitoring inventory, and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and the warehouse team. During quiet periods, you will also provide direct support for warehousing tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Account & Relationship Management: Manage a specific portfolio of customers based on account size. Act as the lead for operational client relationships, building and maintaining strong rapport. Gather client projections regarding inbound and outbound flows, business direction, and new developments. Integrate effectively with your immediate team, peer groups, Team Leaders, and Line Managers.
- Operations & Coordination: Create bookings with vendors and dispatch orders according to specific requirements. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are loaded correctly. Communicate Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements to the warehouse and monitor performance against them. Report any deviations from SLAs to the appropriate customer immediately. Report any issues raised by clients or internal working teams to Site Managers.
- Administration & Reporting: Perform client performance analysis and identify process improvements across admin and warehouse functions. Handle customer invoicing, ensuring all billable activities are captured accurately. Generate necessary reports, including weekly departmental reports and daily hours worked. Assist with the cross‑training of staff across all accounts.
