Finance Apprentice needed for a great role in a friendly central accounts team in a forward thinking firm in Croydon. We are fully office based, Monday to Friday and offer long term career opportunities and a good working environment.
We will support you through our Apprenticeship Scheme with day release, one day per week, at Croydon College, and a supportive training environment. You will get an AAT qualification and potential for a permanent role at the end of the Apprenticeship.
As a Finance Apprentice, you will be responsible for:
- Accounts payable / purchase ledger
- Keeping on top of all the finance administration for several companies
- Learning to use Sage 50 and Sage 200
This role will be on a fixed-term 18-24 month apprenticeship contract. It will be full time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with day release one day per week to attend college to complete a level 3 Finance support qualification.
Finance Apprentice Responsibilities:
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports.
- Process accounts receivable and payable ensuring accurate coding.
- Process bank payments.
- Understand both purchase and sales ledgers.
- Assist with month end finance processes.
- Help provide information to auditors.
- Answering and directing calls from our head office telephone line to the correct people throughout the company.
- Tracking intercompany transactions.
You will need to meet the minimum qualification threshold for an apprentice in Maths and English, but no other prior qualifications are required.
