Permanent, full-time position, fully office based Monday to Friday in central Staplehurst. We’re continuing to grow and need a qualified and tech-savvy IT Support Technician with Active Directory, Office 365 and helpdesk support experience to join our friendly team. There is travel within the UK, so you’ll need a full driving licence and be a car owner.
You’ll be the first point of contact for our sites across the UK for all IT issues & requests – and as part of this, you’ll travel to our sites to implement new technology and resolve issues. It’s a brilliant opportunity for an experienced IT Support Technician who really loves their tech and is looking for that next step in their career. It’s essential you have previous experience as an IT Support Technician and good knowledge of a range of different IT systems and software programs, as well as good people skills and a love of all things tech!
Responsibilities:- Be the first point of contact for all IT issues, providing support on the helpdesk by phone & email to a high standard.
- Triage the tickets received, taking corrective action, escalating any problematic issues to the appropriate IT resource when necessary.
- Take a proactive approach to housekeeping, with daily system monitoring tasks helping to improve security and reduce the risk of potential issues.
- Create, manage and maintain user accounts and access permissions through Active Directory, Office 365 & other platforms.
- Assist with PC moves, setups, configurations and improvements.
- Oversee the 180+ PCs/Laptops across the group, ensuring they are kept up to date with AV, Windows & supplier updates. Taking ownership of the group's IT inventory records.
- Liaise with our third-party IT suppliers to escalate issues and roll out changes.
- Must be willing to frequently travel to sites.
