At Catesby Projects, we support customer programmes across a range of international sectors including motorsport, automotive and elite sport. From concept phase to final design, working at Catesby Projects will be varied and challenging as we push engineering boundaries across multiple sectors. For this particular role we are looking for a Project Engineer to support a new Olympic track cycling project, ensuring a smooth delivery for our customer. The role will be varied and we are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Key responsibilities:
- Working in a multi-disciplined design team to deliver results to the customer.
- Project and programme management, including budgeting.
- Design work and review.
- Managing of suppliers from RFQ to delivery.
- Support with testing programs (aero or physical).
- Assisting with surfacing requirements for sporting, automotive and motorsport development projects.
You:
- An mechanical or manufacturing engineer with industry experience and a passion for elite sport, particularly cycling.
- Experience in composite manufacturing.
- Be able to start this role immediately.
- A minimum of 2-3 years industrial experience is ideal.
- Be eligible to work in the UK.
Ideally you will be:
- Ambitious and want to help grow Catesby Projects.
- Confident in working with customers and understanding their requirements.
- CAD proficient in both surface and solid modelling.
- Previous experience in prototyping and manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience in the elite sport sector is desirable.
- Knowledge of aerodynamics and testing is desirable.

- Your working environment will be in an exciting new innovation centre, meters away from the Catesby Tunnel Aero Research Facility.
Requirements: You must be eligible to work in the UK and be available to start immediately. You must hold a UK driving license and own a car in order to travel for this role. Time will also be spent at our sister company, Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, for wind tunnel testing.
