The Opportunity: As a Test Booth Technician, you’ll work as part of the production team to assemble parts and components to build Caterpillar machines. You’ll follow set processes, work to production targets, and ensure machines are built safely and to the right quality standard. Your role is key to keeping production moving efficiently and delivering products right first time.
As a Test Booth Technician, you are accountable for, but not limited to:
- Assemble parts and components in line with work instructions and quality standards
- Use hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment safely within the work area
- Operate machines where required to support build and test activities
- Work to production targets and follow set build sequences
- Support team members, including helping new starters learn standard work
- Keep your work area clean, safe and organised, following 5S principles

- Assembly Operations: Carry out build tasks using tools and equipment, working independently on shift, so products meet quality and production targets.
- Safety: Always follow safe working practices when using tools and equipment, to protect yourself, your team and the operation.
- Communication: Work closely with others and share information to keep work moving, so the team can meet production goals and avoid delays.
- Attention to Detail: Follow instructions carefully and complete work with attention to detail, ensuring quality standards are met and rework is reduced.

- Understand how mechanical, hydraulic or electrical systems work, to support assembly and identify issues quickly.
