Role Definition
As a Strategic Project Consultant, you will coordinate the management of multiple, related high-priority and/or high-risk projects where the project's scope is aligned with key strategic initiatives. Lead project teams to deliver complex business, integration, implementation projects, and continuous improvement/lean efforts.
Responsibilities
- Apply program and project management principles to manage scope, timeline, resources, stakeholders, and risk throughout the lifecycle of strategic initiatives.
- Lead high-priority projects to achieve measurable business process improvements.
- Provide technical training and guidance for continuous improvement on the planning, development and implementation of process improvement.
- Utilise facilitation and consultancy skills to assist leaders in identifying growth opportunities and planning strategically.

- Six Sigma Methodology: Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.
Consideration for Top Candidates:
- Previous experience supporting and managing projects in Finance, Credit and operations.
- Strong ability to not only lead a project and a group of SMEs but also actively participate in project work and support in the requirements for delivery/Implementation.
- 6 Sigma background.
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP).

What will Caterpillar do for you?
- Salary: £60,433 - £78,563
- Contract: Permanent.
- Hours: Full time 37.5 hours, hybrid working with 3 days a week in the office.
- Benefits: 24 days annual leave increasing with service to 30 days, 15% performance bonus (Paid quarterly), Share Scheme, Non-contributory Pension Scheme 10%, Private Medical Insurance, Dental and Vision Scheme, Life Insurance.
- Location: Solihull.
- Travel: No travel.
