Job Summary: The Product Technician sits within the Quality Pillar and acts as the technical expert for the product, ensuring that product standards, build requirements, and quality expectations are clearly understood and consistently applied throughout the manufacturing process. The Product Technician works closely with Operations, Test, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, and Customer Support teams, providing technical product expertise to support investigations, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the product subject matter expert, providing technical guidance on product requirements, build standards, and specifications
- Supporting quality investigations by providing expertise on how the product should be built, function, and perform
- Supporting stop-to-fix activities and helping diagnose product-related issues on the production line
- Working closely with Operations and Test teams to investigate build concerns, defects, and test failures
- Supporting root cause investigations by providing product knowledge and technical insight
- Assisting in the validation of corrective actions and ensuring solutions meet product and customer requirements
- Supporting product trials, engineering changes, and improvement activities by providing product-specific expertise
- Maintaining awareness of engineering specifications, drawing requirements, product changes, and build standards
- Identifying opportunities to improve product quality, consistency, and manufacturability
- Acting as a key link between manufacturing operations, quality teams, and engineering functions
About You: We are looking for individuals who are:
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines and transmissions, with a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Strong communicators, able to work across teams and functions
- Proactive and detail‑focused, with a problem‑solving mindset
