When you join team Caterpillar as a Orders and Demand Consultant, you will be joining a team responsible for providing guidance on the machine order management process as it adapts and grows into the digital age. The role is expected to adapt as new platforms are launched and provide support for all current machine order management systems and any new Modern Order Management solutions such as MSF, COO, etc. The position will work closely with business partners in GIS, tax, accounting, account coordinators, transportation, facilities, EPC’s, IT, Industries, and Product Groups to learn and advise on the order management process. This skillset of the role will continue to develop as new tools to support SAP deployments for the Modern Order Management digital transformation are underway. The candidate is expected to automate and simplify current manual processes with modern digital tools. As technology continues, the role will grow also with multiple opportunities to learn new systems, be on
the forefront of new technology projects, and work with multiple teams to develop the future of Caterpillar.
What you will do:

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in solution delivery and work processes using modern digital technology and leveraging lean thinking. This includes learning and training users on new digital platforms and tools.

Provide advanced support for dealer invoicing questions, inter-company invoicing adjustments, certificates of origin, compliance, and orders systems issues across multiple countries and cultures.

Translate business requirements into technical designs and IT functional requirements for SAP, MSF, and Salesforce, coordinating work requests with global IT teams and external partners.

Participate in global cross-functional project teams to improve SAP order management processes and systems, including support for blueprinting, product/system integration testing, UAT, Go Live, and Post Hypercare.

Support all machine order management systems and provide advanced daily system issue support to CAT users.

Lead change management activities, including training, documentation, process flows, and defining roles and responsibilities.

Expert Ordering System SAP user experience

Salesforce experience with preference to Orders 360 Desktop and MSF experience
System and Technology Integration:

Discusses major software, hardware or application integration initiatives and plans.

Explains system integration initiatives in own environment.

Experience working with digital orders/reporting/automation tools

Working knowledge of Mach1 SAP ordering systems and order management processes (preferably related to Caterpillar machine prime product, but can include engines, parts or work tools ordering systems)

Experience with lean principles and practices

Extensive Project Management experience

PowerBI project creation experience, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or Marketing.
