The Opportunity: As Quality Technician in Internal Quality Audit within the Quality department you will support as we seek to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility. You conduct audits on parts and partially or fully built machines to a takt time following inspection standard work.

What you will do: As a Quality Technician, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

  • Conduct audits on parts, partially or fully built machines following inspection standard work.
  • Record defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.
  • Investigate, analyse and identify Root Cause, and operate the NCM (Non-Confirming Material) process.
  • Conduct Basic visual and dimensional inspection as part of investigations.
  • Rework parts and machines as necessary.
  • Proactively protect the Quality of machines and parts.

What You Can Demonstrate:

  • Quality Operations: Communicates across departments and teams, to ensure a smooth workflow. Proactively reviews Quality data to ensure metrics are met.
  • Quality Knowledge: Read and interpret engineering drawings and quality standards. Able to inspect parts or machine to determine conformity.
  • Safety: Proactive in managing safety standards and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Foster psychological safety and team engagement, ensuring open communication and collaboration across diverse groups.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluates production methods and maintains focus, with team input, on promoting the continuous improvement of processes and products utilising lean, Six Sigma and drive innovation.
  • Prioritisation: Self-motivated and able to proactively manage multiple priorities.

What You May Have:

  • Previous Material Requirements Planning System (Glovia) Experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of reading engineering drawings.
  • Skilled at using dimensional inspection tools.
