Welder Apprenticeships Scheme: Intermediate Level Apprenticeship (level 2)
Location: Peterlee, County Durham
Hours: 36.5 (Full-Time)
Salary: £15,184 (will increase in line with the academic calendar each year rising to circa £37,000)

Working for Caterpillar: Caterpillar Peterlee is the worldwide source of Cat® Articulated Trucks, currently producing an 8-model range used in many industries including mining, construction, and aggregates. The facility's manufacturing activities use the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology, and a state-of-the-art paint plant. Machines from the site are shipped to customers around the world.
During the course of the apprenticeship, students will work towards achieving their qualification supported by their line manager, technical mentor and Organization Talent and Development team in addition to their academic learning through their training provider and work-based assessor.
Structure of the apprenticeship Welder (level 2): You will attend East Durham college for one day release over a 2 year period.

- Essential: 2 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (including English and Maths)
