Social Media Specialist in Peterborough

Caterpillar's Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat® and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. We are looking for a creative, hands on, and enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to lead and grow our social media presence across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for developing and creating engaging content, building online communities, increasing brand awareness, and driving audience engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals
• Write, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat and YouTube
• Manage day‑to‑day social media activity and community engagement
• Monitor social media trends, competitors and emerging platforms
• Plan and execute organic social campaigns to increase reach, engagement and lead generation
• Collaborate with enterprise and divisional marketing, sales, and creative teams to ensure brand consistency
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and lead social media guidance and training
• Analyze campaign performance and provide regular reports with actionable recommendations
• Build relationships with influencers, partners and brand advocates
• Manage social media calendars and ensure content is delivered on time

Qualifications

• Proven experience in B2B social media strategy creation and management
• Strong analytical skills, experience using platform insights and Google Analytics
• Knowledge of SEO, AEO and content marketing principles
• Deep expertise in social media strategy and management
• Marketing, Communications or related degree qualification
• Experience managing multiple brands
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of relationship management techniques
