The Opportunity: We’re looking for a technically minded and creatively driven Copywriter to join the Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) Marketing team. If you love shaping stories, managing content projects with precision, and producing beautifully crafted, engaging copy—this is the role for you. As our Marketing Communications Consultant, you’ll support the development of content that powers global marketing campaigns across both the Cat and Perkins brands. This role is perfect for a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment and has a passion for storytelling, marketing communications, and creating impactful content supported by technical and commercial understanding.
What You Will Do:
- Develop content for global and regional marketing campaigns that drive awareness and consideration of Engines, Parts & Service offerings.
- Create high-quality digital content for Cat and Perkins channels—including blogs, social media, and web pages—optimised for SEO and AI search behaviours.
- Support integrated campaigns across Paid, Earned, Shared and Owned channels to advance business and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate broadly with strategy, legal, brand, product and digital teams, as well as agencies and other stakeholders, to deliver cohesive, compelling communications.
- Ensure compliance and consistency, staying up to date with industry trends, customer behaviour shifts, and competitive market dynamics.
- Management of the content management system aligned with corporate guidelines and legal requirements.
- Build strong working relationships across cultures and functions, using strong interpersonal skills to influence, collaborate, and resolve challenges effectively.

- Level Working Knowledge: Ability to craft clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate copy across multiple formats and channels, demonstrating strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills; strong understanding of marketing principles and digital platforms. Experience with SEO best practices.
Additional Info: The role may require up to 25% travel (domestic and international). The role is based at the Peterborough facility 5 days per week.
