Salary: £35,833 per annum + dependent upon experience

About IPSD: Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat® and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. The Opportunity: As an HR Advisor at Caterpillar, you will provide professional HR support to employees and leaders across the business, helping to deliver people solutions that enable operational success and support Caterpillar's commitment to excellence, innovation, and employee engagement. Acting as a trusted partner, you will advise on a broad range of employee relations matters, HR policies, performance management, talent processes, and organisational initiatives while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company standards.
Additional Information: This role requires 5-day per week on site presence. No global travel associated with this role.
What You Will Do:
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
- Partner with business leaders to drive employee engagement and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
- Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support change management, workforce planning, and business transformation projects.
- Collaborate with recruitment on initiatives.
- Contribute to operational excellence in HR by efficiently and accurately executing processes related to employment compliance, payroll, absence management, time tracking, benefits administration, and employee data management.
- Provide an excellent service experience when executing employee-facing processes.
- Develop expertise across HR operational process areas and support the identification, assessment, and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support the maintenance of an HR Operations knowledge database and the gathering and reporting of HR operational metrics.

- Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
- HR Policies, Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies regarding human resources management.
- Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
- Human Resources Operations: Knowledge of human resources (HR) policies, operational processes and considerations; ability to implement HR related tasks, processes, and projects to ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly.
