As Category Buyer for P&E Oil and Water Pumps & Valvetrain, you will shape sourcing strategies to improve quality, cost, delivery, and supplier performance. You’ll collaborate with global suppliers and cross‑functional teams, leveraging data insights to drive continuous improvement across the supply network. The role supports global operations and supplier engagement while balancing operational and commercial priorities. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies to create value in quality, cost, delivery, and supplier performance
- Partner with global suppliers and stakeholders to identify opportunities, manage risk, and strengthen supply network resilience
- Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations for mutually beneficial, long‑term partnerships
- Utilize market intelligence, spend analysis, and supplier performance data to inform strategic decisions
- Champion supplier relationship management to ensure quality, delivery, innovation, and responsiveness
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align product, manufacturing, and supply chain objectives
- Lead and support projects on cost reduction, supplier development, process improvement, and supply continuity
Key requirements
- Experience in Procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or related function
- Strong analytical skills to interpret supplier, operational, and financial data for trends and opportunities
- Experience building and managing supplier relationships, including performance management and continuous improvement
- Effective communication and stakeholder management across cross‑functional teams
- Experience supporting sourcing activities, contract management, negotiations, and procurement processes in a manufacturing/industrial environment
