As Caterpillar’s Business & Trade Media Relations Manager – EAME, you will lead strategic media relations activities across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, driving visibility and engagement with business, trade, and regional media audiences. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated media strategies that support Caterpillar’s enterprise priorities, strengthen the company’s reputation, and elevate awareness of its products, services, innovations, and business achievements.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and senior leaders, you will identify and deliver compelling storytelling opportunities that align with Caterpillar’s business objectives and corporate messaging. Acting as a trusted communications advisor, you will help shape proactive and reactive media strategies, manage media engagement and support visibility across key markets.

The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic communications plans, secure impactful earned media coverage, and build strong relationships with journalists and industry influencers. You will bring expertise in media relations, message development, reputation management, media monitoring and analysis, and the planning and execution of media events, ensuring consistent and effective communication that enhances Caterpillar’s position as an industry leader.

What You Will Do

  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with a broad range of business and trade media.
  • Provide counsel and guidance to internal groups in developing press materials and events.
  • Develop comprehensive media plans based on company goals.
  • Responsible for selection and management of a variety of outside suppliers including writers, photographers, printers and event facilities providers.
  • Own enterprise trade show trade media strategies and oversee execution.
  • Track, analyse and report media results across EAME, providing trade and business-related insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor evolving media trends and identify new opportunities to reach target audiences across business, local and trade media channels.
  • Develop media materials as needed, including media pitches, media statements, FAQs, briefing books, fact sheets, press releases, media advisories and bylined articles.
  • Support high-priority enterprise media initiatives across EAME as needed.
  • Advise on reputational risk and media implications; assist in tracking and responding to inbound inquiries.
