The Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic leader to shape the future of Customer Engineering Services across IPSD as our Application & Installation (A&I) Manager – Europe, Africa & the Middle East, based in the UK and primarily located at our Peterborough campus. Leading a highly capable team of engineers within Services & Customer Support, you will own customer‑facing technical relationships and play a key role in shaping winning proposals and influencing both customer and business decisions. Your leadership will drive an exceptional customer experience and support business growth across sectors including construction, agriculture, mining and electric power. This role is pivotal in delivering long‑term, sustainable customer solutions founded on technical credibility, collaboration and insight. You will guide customers toward the optimum power solutions for their applications, with safety, compliance and performance at the core. Success will be achieved through close collaboration with global teams and by leveraging and developing a strong dealer and distributor network across the EAME region. Ultimately, you will build a high‑performing, future‑ready team through continuous improvement, technical capability development and a collaborative culture, directly influencing strategy and driving growth.
What You Will Do: The A&I Manager will report into the EAME Service & Customer Support Director and have responsibility for:
- The supervision of a team of ~15-20 engineers with a focus on personal development and capability
- Planning and leading engineering activities to ensure projects and initiatives deliver to business and customer expectations
- Driving standard work, management systems and process ownership
- Supporting our customers with A&I guidance throughout the lifecycle of the application, from concept to production
- Championing decisions across functional areas such as Sales, Product Support, Product Management and Engineering
- Working closely with a global leadership team to drive synergy and a consistently positive customer experience
- Champion the Voice of Customer (VOC) into our business to influence our future product offering
- Delivering commitments to customer project plans directly and/or via our expansive Dealer & Distributor network
- Driving increased velocity via continuous improvement whilst maintaining the highest standards
What You Have:
- Managing People - Knowledge of processes involved in managing people and the ability to lead successful teams, including implementing coaching and mentoring programmes, regularly reviewing employee performance and working collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Collaborating Globally - Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures, think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.
- Customer and Market Focus - Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.
- Influencing Through Expertise - Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization.
- Tactical and Strategic Planning - Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Technical Excellence - Product development experience in Off-Highway Applications and Power Solutions Technology (or associated industry; e.g. Automotive).
- Communicating for Impact - Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.

- A strong understanding and experience in industry market sectors such as electric power, construction and agriculture.
- An understanding of safety and compliance requirements applicable to our power solutions and/or market sectors.
Additional Info: Requirement to travel up to 25%. This role is based in the office 5 days a week.
