The Opportunity
As a member of the BCP Caterpillar maintenance team in Stockton, reporting to the Senior Manager of Production, you will ensure all corrective and preventative maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with policies and procedures. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the maintenance area.
You will develop and foster strong relationships with the maintenance team and associated business units to maintain clear lines of communication.
What You Will Do:
As Maintenance Team Leader, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Be safety driven, drive a safety culture ‘STOP TO FIX’ day-to-day interaction with the maintenance team.
- Drives change, and ensures execution of maintenance tasks are complete efficiently, safely and cost-effectively, maintaining the reliability of equipment and machinery to support the organisational operational goals.
- Responsible for overseeing and co ordinating activities of a team/contractors that ensure the upkeep, repair, servicing of on-site equipment, machinery or facility.
What Skills You Will Have:
- Organised: Proactively plan, review, monitor and progress on, personal and team, goals and adjust when it is needed
- People: Proactively coach, motivate and develop the team within skills matrix to drive to achieve objectives and implement change
- Communication: Adjust communication to audience, explain how team goals align with company objectives and challenges negative behaviour.
- Maintenance & Safety: Proven ability to diagnose & repair equipment with IOSH Managing Safety Certificate awareness.
- IT skills: Ability to use Microsoft packages, create and demonstrate presentations via power point, excel to create formulative data.

- Problem Solving: use lean tools to continually highlight and improve area processes
- Manufacturing: Prior knowledge of fabrication and/or manufacturing processes.
- Petrochemical, automotive, manufacturing and/or fabrication environment.
