The Opportunity
As a Line Runner within Operations, you will play a key role in supporting the daily running of the production area. Acting as the link between operators and Team Leaders, you will ensure production flows efficiently, standards are maintained, and issues are escalated and resolved quickly. This role is for individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and can effectively support both the operational needs of the shop floor and the wider objectives of the business. The successful candidate will be capable of performing operator duties while also providing cover and support for Team Leader responsibilities when required.
What you will do
- Support the safe, efficient, and compliant running of the production area.
- Act as the first point of support for Operators, providing guidance and assistance throughout the shift.
- Escalate production issues, resource concerns, and operational risks to the Team Leader to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide Team Leader cover during absences, meetings, training, and other business requirements.
- Monitor performance against operational targets and support delivery of PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, Cost) objectives.
- Champion continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence standards across the area.
