Salary: £35,000 to £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Larne

- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

About EPD: Caterpillar's Electric Power Division (EPD) offers integrated solutions, parts, and services to meet the needs of our various commercial and industrial electric power customers. EPD supports a wide range of customer applications across the globe, including providing back-up power to hospitals, providing emergency power when natural disasters strike, and supporting critical infrastructure for data centres, municipalities, and more.
The Opportunity: As a Human Resources Generalist/Facility Communicator, you will be required to provide a comprehensive range of HR support to leaders and employees across the Larne facility. This support includes HR advice and coaching on areas such as policy and processes, strategic workforce planning, complex employee relations, performance management and career planning, driving engagement, diversity and inclusion, implementing HR transformation activities, providing professional communications and promoting positive employee relations with key stakeholders, including trade union.
What you’ll do:
- Support and provide HR guidance to key customer groups within the Larne facility including operations employees, salaried and management employees and leaders at all levels.
- Strategic workforce planning - encompassing early careers, hourly production, mid-level hiring and vendor management.
- Foster a culture of learning with a strong focus on talent and succession planning that will support development and retention to enable business success.
- Drive our students and graduate apprentice program.
- Work closely with employees, leaders and Trade Union representatives on all employee relations matters to foster a positive working environment and drive engagement across the facility.
- Involved in a variety of HR projects including wage negotiations, training and upskilling and the ongoing continuous improvement of our HR policies & procedures.
- Work with facility leaders to share information out to the organization, partner with corporate communications on initiatives that may require local support.
What you’ll have:
- Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques.
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques.
- Ability to build relationships, establish trust and work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data.
- Knowledge of the rights and obligations in employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
- Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies regarding human resources management.
- Degree or equivalent experience within Human resources.
- CIPD qualified.
- Ability to work proactively on their own initiative, to demonstrate agility while dealing with a varied portfolio of customer groups and business needs.
- Energy and enthusiasm to get involved and support our drive to improve culture and engagement.
- Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics.
- Previous knowledge or experience with communications standards and principles.
Additional Information: This position requires 4.5 days a week in the office. Travel about 5% NI/UK.
