Location: Desford, Leicestershire - on-site presence required, 5-day week when not travelling
The Opportunity: We are looking for a Site Procurement Specialist to support all supply‑related activities for the Desford facility, ensuring strong integration between procurement and the operational teams that support the site.
What you will do: As a Site Procurement Specialist, you are accountable for, but not limited to:
- Driving a lean, responsive, and resilient flow of materials and services throughout the facility, ensuring efficient movement from source to dock and all internal points.
- Partnering closely with business stakeholders and suppliers to proactively analyse supplier performance, identify issues early, escalate concerns to Buyers, and troubleshoot collaboratively to maintain continuity of supply.
- Managing and monitoring supply network procurement activities to achieve defined targets for response time, cost efficiency, quality, and lean performance, enabling smooth and optimised facility operations.
- Identifying opportunities for cost reduction, inventory optimisation, and quality enhancement, while ensuring business proposals are sound and risks are thoroughly assessed.
- Maintaining strict adherence to compliance requirements and supporting both internal and external audit activities.
