Overview
As a Quality Engineer at Caterpillar in Desford, you ensure materials, processes and products meet quality standards across projects. You will audit, analyze quality data and support RCCA within a QMS framework, collaborating with internal teams and external partners. You’ll drive quality improvements and contribute to CPI initiatives in a regulated environment. This role offers hands-on testing, data-driven decisions and opportunities to shape process quality across the business.

Responsibilities
- Perform audits across materials, processes and products to ensure conformance to quality standards and customer requirements
- Review non-conformances, analyse trends and support RCCA with internal teams, suppliers and customers
- Conduct measurement systems analysis and analyse quality data to identify issues, risks and improvement opportunities
- Maintain quality system documentation and records within the QMS
- Participate in internal and external audits and manage follow-up actions
- Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) focused on defect prevention and reducing variation and waste
Key requirements
- degree or equivalent experience with demonstrated quality skills in a QMS environment
