Job Summary
Permanent CNC Machinist reporting to the Machining & Salvage department Team Leaders. Varied duties include milling, turning, grinding, vertical and horizontal boring. Must read and work from engineering drawings, use precise measuring equipment (vernier calipers, micrometers) and understand quality and tolerances. Provides key support for salvaging capabilities and cost‑saving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conform to all Health, Safety and Environmental Procedures
- Operate and set CNC machines, including re‑tip and DTI checking
- Set CNC machine tools
- Inspect own work (visual, 1st off inspection)
- Use measuring equipment (micrometers, vernier calipers)
- Back up CNC programmes
- Train new operators
- Collaborate with other areas to develop improvements and savings
- Perform operator‑performed maintenance and 5S activities as required

- Previous experience in CNC operations and programming
