Location: Solihull

Contract: Permanent

Travel: Minimal - circa two trips abroad per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the elements of condition monitoring including O- and SSM fluid analysis, equipment inspections, electronic data, repair history, and site conditions to provide relevant recommendations.
  • Aggregate and correlate data across the five condition monitoring elements, where available.
  • Maintain working knowledge of each element, with subject matter expertise in at least three.
  • Provide equipment recommendations to Caterpillar dealers and customers.
  • Use enabling software tools and systems to prioritize and analyze condition monitoring data inputs.
  • Extract or receive data from appropriate business systems, including customer, dealer and contractor sources.
  • Provide information for equipment management lead tracking and resolution.
  • Prepare standard written reports of recommendations for customers and their Caterpillar dealers on a daily or monthly basis.
  • Facilitate ongoing customer meetings with dealers, industry groups, Corporate Accounts, and DSDs.
  • Communicate verbal recommendations to customers and their dealers.
  • Build collaborative relationships and act as a consultant with equipment management personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in product support and/or engineering fields.
  • Strong customer service/contact experience, communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and provide direction in a team environment and with diverse customers and business partners.
  • Initiative and ability to resolve issues independently or through appropriate team guidance.
  • A degree in engineering, business, marketing and/or equivalent application experience is highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of engines, power train, hydraulic systems, Product Link, VIMS, inspection process, equipment lifecycle planning, S O SSM Services, and Service Information System is desired.

Eligibility: Position requires working onsite five days a week.
