Hours: 36.5 (Full‑Time)
Salary: £15,184 (will increase annually in line with the academic calendar to circa £37,000)

Structure of the Apprenticeship: You will attend East Durham College for one day release over a 2 year period as part of the Welder (level 2) programme.
Qualifications & Experience: 2 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (including English and Maths)
Responsibilities: During the course of the apprenticeship, students will work towards achieving their qualification supported by their line manager, technical mentor and Organisation Talent and Development team in addition to their academic learning through their training provider and work‑based assessor. Students will also work on the manufacturing activities at Caterpillar Peterlee, which includes use of state‑of‑the‑art computer analysis techniques, robotic technology, and a paint plant.
