Salary: From £57,920.69 up to £64,336.06 (with shift allowance) depending on Experience and Knowledge

Job Summary: The machining maintenance department is responsible for continually improving the availability of facility production equipment. A vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance Team Leader within the Machining Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to progress along the maintenance career path structure with the opportunity of progressing into the Section Manager role.
What You Will Do:
- Identify and drive efficiency improvements
- Monitor and improve shop floor safety
- Assure fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules
- Determine priorities and sequences jobs
- Schedule and prioritise constrained resources
- Ensure preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification and others
- Evaluate, assess, identify and lead the deployment of workforce training and development
- Drive root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement
- Lead section status reporting and monitor/audit section metrics
- Complete Workday Conduct 1-2-1 reviews with team
- Conduct Return To Work Interviews
- Achieve 5S targets for maintenance crib areas
- Lead improvement projects
You will be expected to lead a team that demonstrates thorough understanding in the following areas:
- Fault finding on electrical, controls, pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical systems
- Experience in PLC related machines
- Work to a planned preventative maintenance schedule
- Be the Lead contact with Production & Engineering Department to ensure equipment availability
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
- NVQ Level 3 / Time served Apprentice background or equivalent qualification
- Experience of PLC systems, fault finding & diagnostics
- Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic machine control systems
- Experience of all Mechanical aspects of Machinery & Equipment
- Ability to read electrical, fluid system and mechanical drawings
- Self-motivated and comfortable to work with limited supervision
- Leadership skills
- Maintenance background
Additional Information: Shift Pattern available: 24/7 - 12 hours (11.5 hrs paid) 07:00 to 19:00 and the pattern is 4 nights on - 2 days off - 3 days on - 2 days off - 3 nights on - 2 days off - 4 days on - 8 days off. All maintenance tools are supplied by the business. Comprehensive Training Will Be Given Where Required.
