Career Area Operations What You Will Do Leading the team to meet the daily production goals on safety, quality, velocity and cost targets Reinforce Caterpillar\’s Values in Action. communicate to appropriate departments/personnel and at daily start of shift meetings Actively coach, guide and mentor your teams performance and development Carry out daily communications and deploy training programs to upskill teams using lean methodologies To lead an inclusive, engaging safety culture Clearly communicate defects to Paint Operations and support area personnel as defects are identified Proactively resolve issues and generate new ideas for your assigned area using the Continuous Improvement (CI) process to improve quality, effectiveness and safety. Audit and drive defect investigations to ensure high quality product outputs Proactively plan and cover team members absences daily Provide detailed quality feedback with quality alerts and quality meetings Standard Work / Training – Maintain the skills matrix for the team to 100% versatility, ensure standard work is updated. Participate in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) for Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost within your team operation. Lead the team to meet the daily demand of the job and root cause analyse events leading to process failure. Undertake training and further learning as required for the job and the BCP Safety Recipe. Maintain leadership development required learning. Lead and attend relevant meetings to this role. What You Can Demonstrate Experience of the Manufacturing Quality process, BIQ, Reporting defects and root cause analysis. Possess a good understanding of paint practices and knowledge of paint related 1Especs As a team member the ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed goals Self-motivated, with the flexibility to deal with independent and team behaviours, you should be able to motivate and influence others with your advice and experience Strong communication skills both written and verbal to be confident to eradicate behaviours not in line with our company values.
