Salary: Starting salary c.£15,932

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (dependent on the college days and age of the apprentice, this will be spread across 4 days of the week)

Apprenticeship Overview: Global Engine Development (GED) is responsible for leading the way in innovation and new technology to develop the engines of the future. The apprenticeship team completes test programs of prototype engines and components to ensure that engines are available to meet the needs of customers and that the manufacturing team builds and delivers a world‑class product. This role utilises the Caterpillar Production System (Lean Manufacturing) Principles to deliver People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC) improvements. The purpose of this level 3 engineering apprenticeship is to develop individuals within the GED department. Apprentices will experience a range of skills from engine strip successful candidates must achieve the required grades before September 2026.

Post‑Apprenticeship: Upon successful completion, apprentices become qualified Engineering Technicians and may be offered a position within the world‑class team with opportunities for long‑term progression.
