Opportunity
As a Quality Technician in Internal Quality Audit within the Quality department you will support us in maintaining and improving the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility. You will conduct audits on parts and partially or fully built machines to a takt time following inspection standard work.
What You Will Do
- Conduct audits on parts and partially or fully built machines following inspection standard work.
- Record defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.
- Investigate, analyse and identify root causes, and operate the NCM (Non-Confirming Material) process.
- Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspection as part of investigations.
- Rework parts and machines as required.
- Proactively protect the quality of machines and parts.
What You Can Demonstrate
- Communicate across departments and teams to ensure a smooth workflow and routinely review quality data to ensure metrics are met.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and quality standards to determine conformity of parts or machines.
- Manage safety standards, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and foster psychological safety and team engagement.
- Evaluate production methods and maintain a focus on continuous improvement of processes and products using lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Prioritise tasks effectively, self‑motivated and able to manage multiple priorities proactively.
What You May Have
- Previous experience with a Material Requirements Planning System such as Glovia.
- Advanced knowledge of reading engineering drawings.
- Skill at using dimensional inspection tools.
Travel
Not required for this role.
