Job Duties / Responsibilities:
- Follow documented standard work procedures/instructions to perform safe and defect‑free assembly of parts and components, using various hand/power tools and lifting equipment provided in the work area.
- Work on several stations to support planned and unplanned absences.
- Train/coach Assembly Technicians/Apprentices to standard work instructions.
- Operate BCP built machines where required.
- Follow and utilise Caterpillar Production System principles of continuous improvement reporting, waste elimination and standard work.
- Participate in product/process improvement dialogues as required.
- Cover the Team Leader's role in their absence.
- Keep the work area clean, tidy and safe in line with 5S and total preventative maintenance (TPM).
- Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policy and safe working practices.
- Adhere to Caterpillar's Values in Action: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork, Sustainability.
- Undertake training and further learning as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrable high level of assembly or mechanical aptitude and accuracy.
- Initiative and strong communication, interpersonal & organisational skills.
- The ability to use hand/power tools and lifting equipment.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures.
- Attention to detail, able to work with own initiative and self‑motivated.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organization.
- Willing to undertake required training/learning.
- Must be willing to work a multi‑shift pattern.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough working knowledge of assembly duties and build experience.
- Experience shows ability to drive RCCA.
- Fully flexible approach to the job role & responsibilities (willing to work overtime).

- Salary: £28,900 starting salary rising to £30,450 once role competencies are met + 20% shift allowance
