Opportunity

Play a key role in delivering electrical system designs across the full product lifecycle within a collaborative engineering team. As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead the development of electrical systems for Compact Wheel Loaders, Backhoe Loaders and Telehandlers, including architecture, harness routing and high‑voltage electrical systems supporting electrified machine applications. Working closely with cross‑functional partners, you’ll apply your technical expertise and problem‑solving skills to deliver high‑quality solutions that meet time, cost and performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including conventional 12V/24V harnesses and high‑voltage (>300V DC) systems, using 3D CAD tools such as Creo, ensuring designs meet performance and manufacturability requirements.
  • Support the development of high‑voltage cable systems, including integration of HVIL (High Voltage Interlock Loop) safety circuits, ensuring safe and compliant designs.
  • Own delivery across the product lifecycle, from concept and development through validation, release and resolution of field issues.
  • Translate customer and project requirements into robust electrical design solutions, including architecture definition and component selection.
  • Apply structured analytical thinking to evaluate design options, balancing performance, cost, risk and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and customers to resolve design challenges and support successful product integration.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience – Analytical Thinking: Applies structured problem‑solving to break down complex challenges, identify root causes and evaluate multiple solutions, ensuring balanced decisions across cost, risk and performance.
  • Extensive Experience – CAD & Engineering: Proficient in CAD tools to develop and manage accurate models, schematics and drawings, including harness and cable modelling within Creo 3D, covering both conventional and high‑voltage (>300V DC) electrical systems.
  • Working Knowledge – Technical Excellence: Applies sound engineering knowledge to design and develop electrical systems, including electrified and high‑voltage architectures with integrated safety features such as HVIL, ensuring safe, reliable and high‑quality outcomes.
  • Working Knowledge – Managing Multiple Priorities: Effectively plans and prioritises work across multiple projects and stakeholders, maintaining progress and delivery against timelines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • What You May Have – Applied knowledge of high‑voltage systems, including designing and integrating HVIL safety circuits.
  • What You May Have – Support development of electrified system architectures, ensuring safe integration of high‑voltage components.
  • What You May Have – Contribute to communication system integration, including awareness of technologies such as GMSL.
  • What You May Have – Use structured approaches to analyse issues, interpret schematics and improve designs to support reliable system performance.
