Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Salary/Grade: £44,980 – £56,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Larne

The opportunity
As the Technical Sales Engineer, you will help shape business plans, identify growth opportunities, and resolve commercial challenges for our global customers. You’ll be instrumental in aligning Caterpillar’s capabilities with market demands and help our customers understand the full value of Caterpillar’s Electric Power Solutions.
Working within a team of Sales Support Consultants and Engineers, you will develop tailored outcomes for our customers to ensure their power needs are met. You will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end bid and tender process, ensuring Caterpillar’s proposals are aligned with customer needs.

Manage submission timelines and ensure all documentation is delivered accurately and on time.

Support negotiations by providing technical and commercial justifications for the proposed solution.

Responding promptly to inquiries, anticipate and understand customer needs to deliver tailored energy solutions that resolve business challenges. Build trust through open communication, consistent follow-through, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Engage effectively with global stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Working with internal customers, dealers and international customers.

Help customers and dealers understand the long-term benefits of Caterpillar’s energy solution offerings and how they align with their own unique challenges.
