The Opportunity
As a Production Manager, you will lead a production line, Team Leaders and their teams to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient operations. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety, people development, and continuous improvement. The Caterpillar Building Construction Products' fabrication facility at Stockton uses the latest technology to laser cut, weld and machine all the major structures for use at the assembly plant at Leicester.
What you will do:
- Making safety your number one priority, ensuring all teams operate in line with safety standards and reporting and resolving hazards and near misses
- Managing daily production operations, ensuring workflow runs smoothly and targets for safety, quality, and productivity are achieved
- Leading and developing Team Leaders and production employees, including performance management, coaching, and training
- Creating and monitoring reports on performance, identifying issues, and implementing improvements
- Preparing and maintaining documentation relating to operating procedures, safety, and quality standards
- Promoting strong communication and collaboration across teams to support a culture of continuous improvement
