Job Summary
Overseeing programs and practices for hiring, performance management and developing/training the personnel that perform and support the plant operating functions to deliver the required operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Directing all aspects of manufacturing operations for the plant or facility in order to produce cost-effective, timely and high quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary working environment.
- Managing development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
- Directing development of production work schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations; monitoring process and personnel performance of scheduled work activities to remove operating impediments and achieve established operating goals.
- Safety is a core value; this role will lead the way in ensuring our Safety Commitments are met.
- Manage the production processes in line with Caterpillar production principles, establish and maintain appropriate governance to ensure quality and order delivery commitments are met, whilst leading the teams through changes with effective change management strategies.
- Participation in the facility demand and orders process, capacity planning, execution of manufacturing run rates to required quality and velocity.
- Provide leadership to the Operations teams, with a focus on talent development and growth, taking a proactive and organized approach.
- Foster and grow existing positive relationships with the on site trade unions, including leading collective bargaining processes and pay deals.
- Day to day ownership of the facility, including investments, capital plan, safety, emergency response procedures, CSR, facilities management.

Additional Info
The role will work a 5 day week, based out of the Stafford Facility with periodic travel to our sister facility in Aurangabad, India.
