The Opportunity: As a Section Manager within the Logistics dept, you will lead daily operations to maximise efficiency, quality, and safety while driving continuous improvement through Lean practices, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA). You’ll prioritise workflow, monitor KPIs, maintain accurate documentation, and support a high‑performing team through strong coordination, coaching, and driving compliance and process discipline.
What you will do: As a Section Manager, you are accountable for, but not limited to:
- Creating reports and records of Logistics processes and inventory performance; sharing them with managers and providing suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality.
- Preparing, maintaining, and updating documentation related to operating procedures and safety and quality standards; ensuring all processes and products meet desired safety and quality standards.
- Supervising and directing the daily activities of department, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance.
- Lead and support a team of logistics operatives, coordinating daily tasks, providing coaching and training, monitoring safety, and promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
What You Can Demonstrate:
- Problem Solving: You use tools like RCCA to quickly pinpoint issues in logistics flow and drive effective fixes. You confidently assess risks, compare options, and prevent repeat problems.
- Planning and Organising: You stay ahead of operational demands by prioritising workloads, anticipating bottlenecks, and allocating resources smartly.
- Analytical Thinking: You interpret logistics data, KPIs, and process trends to spot patterns and recommend improvements.
- Effective Communication: You communicate clearly with logistics teams to ensure tasks, priorities, and safety expectations are well understood.
What You May Have:
- Working Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable as you'll rely on it to manage inventory accuracy, track material flow, and support fast, data‑driven decisions.
- Basic working knowledge in logistics planning because it enables you to anticipate demand, allocate resources effectively, and maintain smooth, efficient daily operations.
